The Trail in One Weekend

The weekend we’ve been waiting all year for is here- it’s Signature Tasting Weekend on the Apple Tasting Tour! All weekend long our trail stops will be featuring special deals, tastings and events. Check with each stop for specific offerings.

If you’re hitting the trail in one weekend, we’ve gathered the highlights from each stop. If you’re spreading it out – no worries! You can collect letters for the Apple Jumble all month long; be sure to mail your Passport into the Wayne County Office of Tourism by November 3rd to be eligible to win a prize. Grab your coziest fall flannel and round up the kids, friends, and significant others – your weekend plans have never been easier.

Lagoner Farms & Embark Craft Ciderworks

Highlights: A farm store packed with delicious goodies. After you’ve grabbed your apples, make sure to plan to spend some time in their farm store, where you’ll find cheeses, jams, fresh pies, donuts and more. Their onsite cidery, Embark Craft Ciderworks, has a wide variety of ciders to choose from as well.

Long Acre Farm & JD Wine Cellars

Highlights: Something for everyone! The kids will love the entire Back 40 and parents will love letting the kids run and play. Everyone can enjoy wagon rides, the corn cannon, and fresh cider donuts. Grab a delicious ice cream cake to enjoy; it pairs perfectly with the wines from their onsite winery, JD Wine Cellars.

Morgan’s Farm Market

Highlights: Upick apples and fresh friedcakes! Choose from a wide selection of apple varieties in the orchards and grab a friedcake on your way out- they have maple glaze, cinnamon sugar, and plain.

Orbaker’s Farm Market

Highlights: Over 130 years of sustainably grown produce. Orbaker’s has been growing apples and cherries without the interference of pesticides for over a century, so you know you’re getting the sweetest and healthiest fruits. Grab a freshly baked pie, muffin, cookie or pastry to satisfy your sweet tooth also.

Rootstock Cider & Spirits

Highlights: Premium hard ciders and small batch spirits, full bar and hearty food menu.  Versatile event spaces for any occasion. They offer many activities that include live music, corn hole, line dancing, trivia and much more!

Silver Waters Winery

Highlights: Making wines for every taste by producing them with a blend of traditional family methods and modern wine making science. They highlight the variety of fruits produced in the unique growing conditions of the Lake Ontario microclimate. 

The Apple Farm Stand

Highlights: A variety of local specialty fall goods. Shop unique salsas, dressings, sauces, local meats, cheeses and fresh baked goods. They also offer freshly pressed cider and freshly baked Apple Cider Fried Cakes – yum! 

The Apple Shed & Old Goat Cidery

Highlights: After you’ve picked your own apples, head over to visit their farm animals. Relax in the picnic area while enjoying lunch from the onsite café. Kids will also love sliding down the corn slide or playing on the playground. 

Young Sommer

Highlights: Award winning grape and fruit wines can complement your day on the trail. You can try one of their apple wines or something a little different like an apricot or cherry wine. You can’t go wrong with any choice you choose.

Youngman Orchards

Highlights: A variety of mouth-watering local produce, meats and dairy products. They boast a wide offering of apples, sweet cherries, raspberries, peaches, nectarines and plums. In season now are also pumpkins, gourds and Indian corn- whew! Their on-site bakery is baking delicious sweet treats all weekend long.
